About Seattle Greendrinks
Part of the international Greendrinks network, Seattle Greendrinks is a volunteer-driven non-profit created to connect and grow Seattle's environmental community. Founded in 2003, Seattle Greendrinks' main event remains an monthly informal social networking gathering, connecting old members with new. Seattle Greendrinks has also served to launch a number of events, including Fresh!, an intimate, informal evening of wine & chocolate tasting; Bloom, a speaker-focused event highlighting innovation in sustainability; and the Agent Green program, in which the consumptive power of the crowd helps businesses reduce their environmental footprint.
The monthly social gathering remains the core of Seattle Greendrinks' work, and all are welcome to join us the second Tuesday of every month, starting around 5:30pm. The goal of our group is pretty simple: to create a space that fosters connections and good times shared among people working in, or interested in, environmental and sustainability issues. We welcome you to join our Facebook group, LinkedIn group, Google +, and you can follow us on Twitter @seagreendrinks. Membership is open to everyone over the age of 21, and we welcome new members at all events.
Seattle Greendrinks was founded in June 2003 by Gabriel Scheer, who remains immensely proud of how the organization has taken a central role in growing Seattle's environmental community. Outside of Seattle Greendrinks, Gabriel founded and is Principal and Lead Consultant of Re-Vision Labs, a social innovation consultancy, as well as being founder of Agent Green. He previously founded Sustainable Capitol Hill and sat on the board of Sustainable Seattle and the founding advisory board of The Hub Seattle.
