The climate change debate is intensified by a heat wave on the east coast. The debate was hot when blizzards hit the east also. Extreme weather events are getting used by both sides to support their global warming arguments within the debate about climate change and energy bill in Congress. And just in time for the heat wave, a British panel exonerated the "Climategate" scientists, saying it found no evidence that the group manipulated any of their research to back up global warming. 2010 is turning out to be the hottest year in history.

Depending on who you talk to, Cleveland forward Lebron James may or may not be the best basketball player alive. But nobody can deny his greatness: he scored the last 25 points in a conference finals overtime game against the Detroit pistons; he made a three point shot that tied up last year's conference finals with less than two seconds left in the game; he jumps out of the gym; shoots video game range threes; and practically averages a triple-double.

Tomorrow in West Seattle people are gearing up to help combat climate change by building an edible garden that will supply the public and a food bank with fresh vegetables at the C & P coffee house. CoolMom, C&P Coffee House, Urban Land Army and Sustainable West Seattle are all banding together to create 4 large (3x6 feet) raised garden beds.
