With the Architecture 2030 Challenge for Planning providing the performance goals, the District seeks to develop realistic, measurable, and innovative strategies to assist district property owners, managers, and tenants in meeting aggressive goals that reduce environmental impacts of facility construction and operations.

biomimicry (mimicking nature) and biophilic design (increasing
our exposure to nature within our built environment) can help us to
create products, buildings, and communities whose relationships
