Come to the Maple School Natural Area to help remove invasives from 10am-1pm and stay for the potluck immediately following the event. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather, gloves and tools will be provided. We meet at the entrance located at the top of the stairs at 20th Ave. S and S Lucile St.
The Potluck is at 1pm, directly following the event, so please bring a dish to share. If you would like to know more about or efforts or just live in the area please feel free to come by the potluck and talk to us!
Join the Green Seattle Partnership at this amazing Beacon Hill Park to lend a hand in park restoration: invasive species removal, native planting and trail clearing. Register for this Green Seattle Day Site!
The Green Seattle Partnership will provide all the tools necessary for the day's restoration activities. Most sites will provide a light snack.
Be prepared for the day: Please bring a filled water bottle to the event. Remember to dress in clothing that is weather appropriate and okay to get dirty. Extra food or lunch to eat.

Without a coordinated effort, Seattle is at risk of losing 70% of its forests in just 20 years. The Green Seattle Partnership is reversing the trend by mobilizing thousands of volunteers to restore 2,500 acres by 2025.

What: Global Work Party event - Maple School (Ravine) Natural Area Invasive Species Removal & Native Planting
First we will work at removing invasive plant species and laying mulch for native planting (planting will happen on 11/6/10 during Green Seattle Day), then we will PARTY with refreshments, music, speakers, and more!
