Commute Seattle is Downtown Seattle’s Transportation Management Association (TMA), working to enhance Downtown’s economic competitiveness by reducing drive-alone commuting. We envision a Downtown Seattle in which commuters are empowered to walk, bike, rideshare, or take transit to work. Our goal is to reduce the drive-alone commute rate to 30% by 2016. Commute Seattle is a 501c(4) not-for-profit, public-private partnership of the Downtown Seattle Association, King County Metro, and the City of Seattle.

The Policy and Advocacy Specialist supports the work of the Advocacy and Economic Development program in the areas of administration, grassroots organizing, community outreach, government relations, communications and policy program assistance.

Northwest SEED is seeking an intern to support the Solarize Washington program. Our Solarize Washington program combines community organizing and a group purchase model to encourage widespread solar adoption. To date, Northwest SEED has completed 6 Solarize campaigns and catalyzed nearly 200 residential solar installations throughout the region. With support from Seattle City Light, Northwest SEED is launching a new Solarize campaign in South Seattle.
EnviroIssues is a public involvement and community outreach consulting firm. We are a staff of over 90, and since 1990 have successfully worked to communicate complex government, transportation, environmental, and urban planning issues to members of the public in the Pacific Northwest. Our goal is to provide our clients with the tools for complex decision-making in the public arena.
