The north / east Capitol Hill branch of July Greendrinks will be at the organic tea cafe, Remedy Teas, at 345 15th Avenue East. The Ravenna/Roosevelt branch of July Greendrinks will be held at the 3rd Place Pub, just below 3rd Place Books, at 6504 20th Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98115. The event will feature interesting conversation, as well as happy hour prices all evening (which includes beer for $3.25, wine for $4.25, and quesadillas for $4.95). The Central District branch of July Greendrinks will be held at Hidmo Eritrean Cuisine, at 2000 S Jackson St (on the corner of 20th & Jackson). The event will feature interesting conversation, as well as $2 drink and appetizer specials and a taste of cuisine of Eritrea. As with all Seattle Greendrinks gatherings, the event will begin between 5:30 and 6pm on Tuesday, 8 July, and will end at 8pm.

Our City Council needs us next Tuesday, July 8 at 7pm at the Council Chambers, 600 4th Ave, to lend our support to legislation that would ban styrofoam and create "green fees" for disposable bags.

Opponents to this legislation are speaking loudly. As a proponent of the ban and fee, I want to make sure I'm speaking loudly, too. So I will, at next week's public comment session.
