The course provides an introduction to wild mushroom identification. Emphasis is on basic identification skills of wild mushrooms, including edible mushrooms and their poisonous look-alikes. Students will learn what to look for and terminology used to distinguish common mushrooms and relatives. Basic fungal biology and ecology will be discussed. Advanced students are welcome and would also benefit from the class.

As part of the ASES National Solar Homes Tour, Seattle City Light, NWSEED and Solar Washington will be hosting a kick off event including a Solar Works! In Seattle presentation, and solar demonstrations from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation and the International Solar Cookers.

SPOKESPEOPLE welcomes bicyclists at all levels of experience from first-time urban cyclists through expert commuters to ride in a free, healthy, sustainable monthly city event. SPOKESPEOPLE will ride to adjacent neighborhoods from Wallingford Playfield 4219 Wallingford Ave. N. on the first Saturday of every month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
