Want to sponsor Greendrinks? info@seattlegreendrinks.org!
OUT for Sustainability is bringing the first "green" presence to gay pride in Seattle. We want your help to show how we are all connected in sustainable community. This includes you, whether you represent a local sustainable community (Green Lake, Capitol Hill, etc), an environmental organization or are generally interested in supporting OUT for Sustainability at one of the largest festivals in the city.
The Plan
Parade: Walk or bring your bike or something human powered on wheels (stroller, wheelbarrow, wagon). It's great if your bike has a trailer. We want to have different plants and trees in them going down 4th Avenue! So if you have a big houseplant/tree or connections to nursery let us know!
20+ people. Parade starts at 11, we don't know our placement yet though.
Booth: While the parade is happening we'll be at Westlake park right at the start of the parade route on 4th and Pine. We'll be handing out mini-brochures, selling t-shirts (design attached, we need to sell them to cover our costs) and talking about sustainability and how it relates to the LGBTQ community. This is an easy and shorter commitment, perfect for allies as well!
4+ per time slot. 4 slots: 16+ people. 1.5 hours. 10-:11:30, 11:30-1, 1-2:30, 2:30-4
T-Shirts: We sadly can't afford to give t-shirts to volunteers this year. We need to cover the high cost of organic cotton, but we can give volunteers a $4 discount if you want! Obviously we would prefer you get one to help us stand out as a unified group, but it is not a requirement. If you are with a sustainable community group, feel free to wear that shirt to represent them... especially in the parade.
Sign Up: Go to the google doc to sign up with your name, group represented (sustainable community group, environmental group), whether you want a tee-shirt, are bringing a bike/trailer/etc, have a tree, have a truck (to move them), and your availability.
