Park(ing) Day Central Park

As an addition to traditional Park(ing) Day parks, where participants create temporary parks in parking spaces, we will be transforming this once vibrant block, illegal parking lot, and now vacant space into a collection of small parks for the day. The event was approved by the owners of the space and we also received a smART ventures grant from the Seattle Arts Commission to help make the event a reality.

Whether you are a member of a group like Greendrinks, an environmental non-profit, an architecture/design firm, or just the type to hang out in a park, you're invited! However, by signing up to build a park, you will be eligible to win a $200 cash prize + a unique trophy, as well as donated gifts from local businesses which will be awarded to runners-up.
