This evening, all who attend are in for a special appearance from the Solar Goddess herself, Aimee Carpenter. If you've been following local solar news you may have seen Aimee featured in an article or possibly out and about at a renewable energy networking event.
Aimee will be presenting the next Solar 101 and answering the questions you may have about solar. You may be thinking to yourself, "Why in the heck would anyone in their right mind install a solar system at this time of the year? And, really, does solar even work in the Northwest?"
The answer to that is simply, YES! While our late falls and winters here truly can be gloomy, the systems that we design are based on an annual measurement of the sun's available solar energy.
That is what we teach you here at Solar U.
Solar energy is one of the most viable source of renewable energy and someday may become the one source of energy we rely on the most. Why wouldn't we? It's virtually limitless!
With advances in technology and the addition of government, state and utility incentives, solar is at the forefront of renewable energy.
But isn't solar power complicated? Aren't solar panels really expensive.
We'll answer all of these questions and more at the next Solar Power 101:
Light refreshments will be served.
