Celebrate Earth Day with The Mountaineers!

Join us for a family-friendly day of nature activities, guided hikes, volunteering, and exploring!

Enjoy the Earth Day Celebration by trying a range of activities, or just drop in for a little fun. Rain or shine, the day's events include:

A visit with Orion the Horned Owl
Storytelling for all ages
Stewardship projects for adults and youth ages 8+. Help us remove invasive English ivy!
Guided family walks to the Big Tree (one of the largest trees in the state!)
Earth Day theatre games for kids
Interpretive hikes and nature activities
And much more!

We're also looking for volunteers to fill the following positions:

general greeter
stewardship project assistant (pulling English ivy)
youth activities assistant
and more!

When : Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 10 AM-4 PM
Where: The Mountaineers Forest Theatre & Rhododendron Preserve (3153 Seabeck Highway NW, Bremerton, WA)
Cost : The Earth Day Celebration is FREE and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $15 per family.
