August Greendrinks, sponsored by Porter Novelli
THE AUGUST 2011 GREENDRINKS WILL BE ON TUESDAY, 9 AUGUST AND WILL BE HOSTED BY PORTER NOVELLI.
Porter Novelli is a global PR firm designed to achieve one goal: to transform the opinions, beliefs and behaviors of those who matter most to their clients. They make this happen through a consistent and systematic approach that pairs a deep, data-driven understanding of what makes people think and act the way they do with sophisticated metrics that enable Porter Novelli to identify, monitor, manage and engage the most influential audiences.
Porter Novelli is excited to show their support for Seattle’s green community and their client, GRIST.org, who will be the featured non-profit. To find out more about what Porter Novelli does for their clients stop by, grab a drink and chat with them!
Seattle-based GRIST has been dishing out environmental news and commentary with a wry twist since 1999, helping people make sense out of stories using their Clarity-o-Meter to draw out the real meaning behind green stories, and to connect big issues like climate change to daily life. At Grist, they take their work seriously, but don't take themselves too seriously, because of the many things this planet is running out of, sanctimonious tree-huggers ain't one of them.
The August Greendrinks will take place at the offices of PORTER NOVELLI, at 710 Second Avenue, Ste 1200, in downtown Seattle. As a special treat, Bluebird Ice Cream will be scooping at this month's Greendrinks, partnering with former sponsor DRY Soda!
As usual, we will be collecting a $5 suggested donation at the door that will be split between our featured non-profit, the Grist, and Seattle Greendrinks. Click here to plan your trip to the event using Metro's Trip Planner.
Here's a huge shout-out, too, to our 2011 sponsors, The Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, Tonnemaker Family Orchard, Badger Mountain Vineyard, The Essential Baking Company, and Chaco Canyon Cafe! As always, the August Greendrinks will begin between 5:30 and 6pm.
Please help us reduce waste - even compostable waste - by bringing your own mugs, wine glasses, and the like. Compostable cups will be available for a $5 suggested donation.
Finally, please email info (at) seattlegreendrinks (dot) org for sponsorship information or to volunteer.
