August Greendrinks, sponsored by BECU: It's picnic time!
THE AUGUST GREENDRINKS WILL BE ON TUESDAY, 14 AUGUST, AND WILL BE A PICNIC in partnership with Sustainable Seattle. Big, hearty thanks to presenting sponsor BECU, a locally-owned community credit union, who are tremendous supporters of our community. A jolly nod also to Cleanscapes for taking care of the composting, recycling, and waste management for us!
This free event will feature vendors, lawn games, food, drinks, and fun with other Greendrinkers at the Hunter Farm Gathering Place in Wedgwood. Thanks to the folks at Silicon Energy, our live music will be run off solar power! We'll have Sierra Nevada serving up beer, Badger Mountain Wine serving the vino, and Finnriver pouring the hard cider, so the beer garden's looking to be a popular place (don't forget to bring your cup!). The fabulousness of the beer garden aside, for once in a green moon this Greendrinks event is family friendly! So bring the kidlets 'round. We'll have Dante's Inferno Dogs serving up fresh brats (veggie and meat), and the lovely Caravan Crêpes folks will be there, plus Six Strawberries with artisan popsicles, so come hungry.
We have the use of the parking lot adjacent, there's a bus stop a stone's throw away, and the folks at Sportworks Bike Racks will be providing racks for all you cyclists, so come on over by your vehicle of choice!
Though this list is still growing, participating vendors include:
Mariposa Naturescapes, LLC
Community Power Works
Cascadia Green Building Council
Home Performance Washington
Seattle Natural Awakenings
Judith Ryan, EcoBroker Real Estate Agent

Please help us reduce waste - even compostable waste - by bringing your own mugs, wine glasses, and the like. Compostable cups will be available for a $5 suggested donation.
Would your organization like to table at the picnic? We're asking $50 from non-profits and $150 from for-profits. To participate, or for more information about being involved at the presenting sponsor level, or to volunteer, please email gina (at) seattlegreendrinks (dot) org. Our December holiday fair will have a similar format, so if August doesn't work for you, please keep us in mind for tabling for the holidays!
