The Governor recently released her list of recommendations for further cuts to address the budget shortfall in advance of the special session starting in November. After three tough years of budget shortfalls, what is left to cut? Has the time come for us to ask what core services we want from our government and eliminate everything else? Or will we see increases in taxes and fees, and closing of loopholes to make up the difference? How will the initiatives on the ballot in November impact revenue projections?
