Seattle Parks Foundation (SPF) seeks a Foundation Coordinator to assist the organization with its development and communication activities. S/he will work with the Development Manager, Director for Advancement, and Executive Director on key activities to keep SPF’s broad base of donors and enthusiasts engaged and informed. This full-time position reports to the Director for Advancement.
Seattle Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes enhanced public and private-sector funding for park and trail projects throughout the city, and supports neighborhood-led projects through fiscal sponsorships, technical assistance and fundraising services. Since 2001, SPF has raised $38 million to create, expand and enhance Seattle’s public space system.
We seek a candidate who:
• Brings a can-do, solution-oriented enthusiasm to a well-established team of professionals who are passionate about their work
• Gives high attention to detail related to data entry and office administration
• Is forward thinking and excels with technology and social media
• Can write well and communicate about SPF in compelling ways
• Likes to coordinate meetings, events, and other mission focused gatherings
• Manage and maintain SPF’s office technology systems, including day-to-day troubleshooting and problem-solving, and working with SPF’s IT consultant as necessary
• Daily gift processing and donor acknowledgement using Raiser’s Edge database
• Coordinate production of SPF print publications including E-news, newsletters, and invitations
• Assist on a variety of SPF engagement and outreach events
• Provide executive assistance to SPF’s Executive Director and Board of Directors
• Write targeted, effective messages for E-news and social media
• Serve as a staff ambassador at external events when needed
• Manage office inventory
Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong data entry and database management skills
• Excellent communication skills including social media and writing
• Highly organized and effective meeting and event coordinator
• Ability to thrive in a team oriented, fast paced, open office environment
• Flexibility to work occasional weekend and evening events
