DNV Global Energy Concepts is seeking a Meteorological Services Associate in the Tubular Towers & Remote Sensing section for our downtown Seattle, Washington, office. In this role you will schedule and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of wind measurement stations and act as a liaison between the installation crews, clients, vendors, and other related parties. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate procurement of wind tower measurement materials
• Coordinate activities of all involved parties, including subcontractors, clients, landowners, vendors and employees
• Consult with clients on options for solving business needs and recommend additional services
• Consistently communicate with clients and vendors in a professional manner
• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members
• Participate in special projects, such as creating group training materials
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Construction knowledge is a plus
• Ability to learn new information quickly
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with diverse people - clients and co-workers
• Ability to learn and understand technical information regarding the equipment (e.g., towers, data loggers, modems, etc.)
• Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize
• Strong relationship skills
• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet work deadlines
• Flexibility and adaptability – as issues and tasks may change quickly
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
• Ability to learn new software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, project management, logistics, supply chain management, environmental studies or related field required
• Two years experience scheduling, coordinating or dispatching preferred
• Strong technical aptitude; experience or training with mechanical devices, electronics and/or hardware preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching
• Ability to perform consistent work on PC
