Organizational Background: Sustainable Path Foundation is an engaged Group Philanthropy that works to promote sustainability and health in the Puget Sound region through collaborative approaches informed by scientific understanding and systems thinking. Our Partners are a unique group of individuals that pool their skills and financial resources to make a powerful impact through collective giving and collaborative programs.

Position Summary: The Director of Development and Partner Engagement for Sustainable Path Foundation is responsible for all facets of fundraising and Partner development. Specific responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: Partner outreach, cultivation, and stewardship; event planning and administration; community and business relationship building; presentations to community groups; and database management. Additionally, the Director of Development and Partner Engagement will be asked to assist with the Foundation’s print and electronic communications.

The successful candidate will embrace Sustainable Path’s mission and thrive in and promote the Foundation’s collaborative culture.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum five years experience in fundraising, or a combination of fundraising, marketing, and volunteer management
• Demonstrated effectiveness with donor communications, specifically soliciting major donors
• Understanding of fundraising databases (GiftWorks), including developing reports and queries
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking
• Excellent management skills including organization, time management, volunteer management
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective at building collaborative relationships

Hours: .5 FTE, flexible schedule, occasional evening and weekend hours will be required
