Scientist/Geologist or Environmental Engineer, Mid Level

Floyd|Snider has an opening in our Seattle office for a Scientist/Geologist or Environmental Engineer with 3 to 5 years experience in environmental consulting or related field.

Responsibilities:
• Developing environmental investigation work plans focused on sediment, soil, and groundwater media.
• Field investigation work, including subcontractor and laboratory coordination and preparation
• Data interpretation and management
• Report preparation
• Support to senior technical staff, including research and analyses on a variety of environmental topics
• Communicating with project managers and clients

Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in physical or environmental sciences or environmental engineering, preferably master’s degree
• 3-5 years experience in environmental consulting or comparable experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (writing sample required)
• Enjoy working as a member of project teams, but also have the independence and confidence to lead field investigation efforts
• Experience working within the Washington state environmental regulatory framework(s)
• Experience with environmental sample collection methodologies, preferably in multiple medias.
• Enjoy being in the field, sometimes for several days in a row depending on project needs
