Re-Vision Labs seeks a fun, smart, savvy, and driven social media intern to help us take our strategy for community to the next level. Our business is online and offline community engagement. So come learn all we know about community building, and then work to engage and grow our community about the latest in global development, education, environment, government, and finance. In addition to building a global social media strategy for Re-Vision Labs, you will gain expertise in the latest innovations and ideas in of each of our target fields.
Internship Description
As a start-up, we are a fast-paced, learning and growing environment. We work on world-changing projects, and we use appropriate tools and techniques to help those projects succeed.
We expect a social media intern to assist with key elements of social media strategy and implementation, including:
• Social media engagement: Enticing, provoking, and otherwise engaging our community on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
• Blogging management and engagement: writing and editing posts, responding to comments, and helping manage our internal community of bloggers.
• Monitoring blogs, social media accounts, and other streams of information to learn of local, national, and international events and innovations in the industries we’re targeting.
• Help design an interactive platform: In addition to what is currently available, we adapt and implement technologies to meet the needs of our clients – help us begin to design a platform for our own needs. (Tech background a plus, but not necessary.)
• Researching and writing white papers on social media strategy and implementation.
Currently this position is not paid, but there is opportunity to grow within our company.

Candidate Requirements
• Basic or extensive knowledge of social media outlets and how to use them (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• Intellectual curiosity and an ability to work well with others in person and by phone
• Interest in sustainable business strategies
• Flexibility; Re-Vision Labs is an early-stage company, with fast-changing demands that will require adaptive responses.
Internship Management
As an intern at Re-Vision Labs, you will be working directly with a tenured Partner who leads our Communications and Storytelling projects. We recognize the value that internships provide to our organization, and want to be as supportive as possible to you in your educational endeavors. We have a three-month managed process for internships at Re-Vision Labs, after which we will evaluate our commitment and choose to continue, advance, or formally end the internship. After that time, many of our interns continue to remain engaged with RVL in formal and informal ways.
