Sustainable Business Consulting (SBC) is a Seattle-based consulting firm that delivers improved profitability through sustainable business practices. We believe that business is the best way to solve the huge social, ecological, and climate challenges facing our world today. We are looking for an independent, hard-working, and motivated intern to help us with two main projects:

Internship Specifics
1. Sustainability Research
• Community Best Practices, Personal and Business actions
• Industry market research and benchmarking
• Helping us keep abreast of the latest trends

2. Social Media Strategy
SBC’s CEO Kevin Wilhelm writes for various blogs and recently published a book Return on Sustainability: How Business Can Increase Profitability & Address Climate Change in an Uncertain Economy. As part of this internship we are looking for help with:
• Brainstorming creative article ideas
• Research on articles
• Updating Facebook, Twitter & blog sites

Qualifications
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Excellent proven research experience
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability as it applies to business management
• Quick learner, willingness to take on any task (i.e. data entry, research, whatever is needed)
• Solid work ethic, positive can-do attitude, and high standard of professionalism
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Timeframe and Compensation
This internship is intended for college seniors or graduates who will be with us 20 hours per week for 3 months. Hours and workdays are flexible to meet intern needs.
Week of Feb 15th flexible start date.

The position is unpaid, but Sustainable Business Consulting is committed to teaching you about sustainable business and supporting your career development.
