WEC Summer Interns

WEC is looking for a fulltime Summer Campaign Intern to support their work help Washington become a leader in clean energy. WEC's work this summer will focus on increasing our grassroots presence through innovative outreach and engagement opportunities. This is a great position for someone who is interested in learning more about environmental advocacy work through hands-on experience.

Some examples of outreach opportunities include:

• Planning and designing field plans for outreach methods
• Utilize innovative outreach techniques
• Maintaining and organizing data
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities and outreach events with the public
• Assist with online communication (such as updating events on the website)

Desired Qualifications:

• Interest in environmental policy or politics
• Interest in collaborating with a team of peers
• Independent self-starter
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environments
• Strong writing and research skills
• Interest in meeting new people and planning events
• Ability to multi-task

Interns will have staff supervision and mentoring, weekly training opportunities, experience in political advocacy, and networking opportunities.

We ask that interns commit to 35-40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks from June 23rd to August 29th. A stipend and bus pass will be available.
