TELEPHONE OUTREACH ORGANIZER

Washington Wilderness Coalition (WWC) is a 28 year old statewide non-profit organization with nearly10,000 members working to preserve Washington’s last remaining wilderness areas and protect wildlife and wild areas from threats.

WWC seeks a conservation activist for our Telephone Outreach Project (TOP). The TOP calls members and supporters to provide them with updates on current WWC work, to renew their membership, and for special appeals. The TOP helps build relationships with WWC's members and donors.

WWC is currently seeking to fill one TOP caller position.

Desired qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills both in person and on the phone.
• Ability to communicate quickly and effectively in English.

Any of the following skills/knowledge are also helpful:
• Knowledge of wilderness issues in Washington.
• Prior public outreach experience.
• Successful fundraising experience on the phone for a nonprofit organization.

The position is 32 hours per week from 2:30-9:30 pm Monday-Tuesday, 3:30-9:30 pm Wednesday-Thursday, and Saturday 1-7 pm. Pay is $10/hr. plus generous bonuses based on performance. Position includes paid medical, dental and vision insurance, vacation and sick leave. Great job for students!
