The Ballard branch of July Greendrinks will take place at the Bal-Mar, at 5449 Ballard Ave NW. As with all Seattle Greendrinks gatherings, the event will begin between 5:30 and 6pm on Tuesday, 8 July.

The BalMar is committed to green business practices, composting its food waste, using recycled materials, and using its fryer oil for biodiesel. BalMar sources its food locally wherever possible. BalMar's water use practices, with low flow toilets, waterless urinals, and on-demand water heaters, save at least 80,000 gallons of water each year and generate a lower carbon footprint. In the renovation of its 1920s building, effort was made to use reclaimed materials as much as possible, which are incorporated into contemporary artisan touches throughout.

The Ballard Greendrinks is being co-hosted by Sustainable Ballard and the Interra Project's Puget Sound Community Change card. If you're not already involved with either of these great organizations, you should be! Come by and check them out.
