Fuse is Hiring a Campaign Organizer!

Fuse (http://www.fusewashington.org) is hiring a Campaign Organizer to help us build and mobilize a movement of progressive activists who can help persuade voters and decision makers to support progressive causes. We are using the power of the Internet to add more people and stronger communications to progressive campaigns. Our goal is to create a political landscape that supports progressive breakthroughs.

Fuse is a member-driven progressive advocacy group founded in 2007. We help the people who want common sense solutions to our State’s problems work together to achieve their goals. With more than 67,000 members in every corner of the state, Fuse is one of Washington’s largest grassroots political organizations.

Attributes, Skills, & Experience
We are looking for someone who is on the high end of:
• Bold
• Creative
• Very ambitious about increasing the strength of the progressive community and making serious changes in the world
• Technology friendly
• Collaborative

And has:
• Experience and interest in online and offline organizing and advocacy
• A fearless attitude about calling people up and asking them to take action for progressive causes
• Strong communications and writing skills
• Excellent judgment
• Familiarity and preferably experience with social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace

Responsibilities
• Find creative ways to engage people online, staying current on new tools and how other organizations are using them
• Developing strategies to engage our online activists
• Helping develop and implement strategies for pulling activists offline
• Executing offline events including rallies, petition presentations, and media events
• Expanding our presence on social networks like Facebook and Myspace
• Work on the full range of progressive issues and elections

Salary and Benefits
• Good pay with excellent benefits. Salary DOE.
• Position through November with strong potential for continuing position.
